- Additional reviews of students:
- Students are down to earth and friendly over all. Nobody thinks to be better than others, we are all on the same boat! Not too many nerds, a lot of study groups to help each other.
- A lot of nerds. Outside the classroom they keep talking about cicuits and math problems. Hard to have a conversation about anything else. A lot of genuises. Some are more outgoing.

- It's a whole 'nother environment... Really cool ;)
- There are many intelligent, approachable students - can't deny that. But I think the majority are very arrogant because they attach themselves to the supposed superiority of our campus as the "university of the best students". It's a sad attitude a lot of people drag there.
- Some are nice, brilliant people. Others weirdos...

- Additional reviews of faculty:
- There is a little of everything. Most are very friendly and helpful, but there are a few who are hard to understand and a little intimidating. Others give little help and you have to figure things out on your own. Others expect you to know everything. Overall they are very demanding because this is the most prestigious university and its their job to make professionals who can think on their own. If you work hard, you should be fine.
- Faculty are: Crazy! Very demanding. They'll make sure you have no time for fun. But they are always there for you

- Some are helpful, many are unhelpful. But the air of superiority runs on the faculty, too.
- I miss my college but i admit that the faculty needs help!!!

- Additional reviews of town:
- Mayaguez is a low key town. Nothing too fancy is going on as most students are in a low to very low budget. Still, since is a medium size college you find people you know everywhere. Lots of cheap bars with live music from local upcoming bands. There is a big variety of food: mexican, chineese, puerto rican, steak houses, ice cream, etc; again nothing fancy. The best thing is the nearby beaches! and the many holidays to spend there! It rains almost every day from 2-4. This is the hottest town in Puerto Rico with high temperatures over 100 degrees in the summer and the hottest time of the day around noon. There is also considerable humidity. The life is simple: study and go to the beach!
- Everything is low key and simple, great for low budget students. Lots of bars and beaches and bars by the beaches! The weather is mostly hot and humid.

- The town sucks. Very hot and humid. Horrible traffic jams. And since there are no dorms, students need to find housing off campus all the time - and it's usually very expensive. Apartments are sometimes more expensive than apartments near the UPR campus that is located in Rio Piedras, a much more urban area closer to the capital.

- Additional reviews of campus life:
- This campus has one of the best student life in Puerto Rico. There is no greek life, but there are many clubs and activities for all things to like. We are not great in sports anymore, but we still enjoy Las Justas de la LAI!!!
- The campus is very safe even at night. It is also clean.

- Maintenance is a big complaint. They raised our maintenance fee but you don't see it. Most computer labs have the same old, virus-filled computers, and it's very common to find unequipped bathrooms, often without toilet paper and in several buildings at once!
