- I'm enrolled in the "viz" (computer animation) program and am currently looking for another school because A&M's program is highly undeveloped in the areas I'm interested in. It's a good program for people who want a basic overview in computer animation, but not for those seriously into it.
- The general classes are big and you can feel lost, but once you get into your major it gets better.

- Approachable
- Some people are very friendly while a large proportion of people are arrogant about their graduate work and importance of their work.
- most of the students are easy to talk to
- Many people will say "Howdy" to you when they cross your path. Aggies are like a big family, and have the traditional sense of southern hospitality. However, if you don't feel like you're part of the family, it'll make you feel estranged and different...unless you LIKE being an individual :D Unless you have a strange social anxiety, it's pretty nice. Nearly everyone is Christian and Republican, so if you are too, you'll find lots of people who share your beliefs. If not, they are still the oddballs floating around who voted for Obama, you just have to dig around a little to find them. In appearance, most of the student body wears nice clothes and shower daily (thank god). Expect to see many guys wearing polo shirts, and many girls wearing Nike shorts and flip-flops.
- Everyone is super friendly...HOWDY!
- All very friendly but conservative
- Friendliest campus ever

- Additional reviews of faculty:
- They have the knowledge of the subject they are teaching, and are willing to help a student succeed in the course.
- Approachable
- I've had mostly positive interactions with faculty while a small percentage have been unhelpful or downright rude. Overall, I receive wonderful faculty support and am very pleased.
- nice and very outgoing
- You have to keep in mind that professors are people, and differ in personality just as much as anyone else. I've have professors who were willing to work with me on every little thing, and professors who would not go to any effort to help you beyond their lecture. Also, TAs teach almost every lab and speech class. Read up on each one on pickaprof.com
- Obviously with every big university there are good professors and bad ones. We generally have good professors.
- Very helpful
- Some teachers could be more helpful however most of them are very friendly and very helpful

- Additional reviews of town:
- I am located in Galveston so I am here more for the rich program than the local scenery. In general I have had poor housing opportunities. I just moved into a new apartment on the outskirts of town which seems to be much better.
- the atmosphere in general is very homey
- I never go out much, but I here other people really like going to the strip of bars on the north side of campus for a good time. There's every chain restaurant in America here, I'm sure. I never lived in an apartment, but the friend's apartments I've been in were pretty cool and cheap for what they got. There's loads to choose from too.
- The only real place to go out is Northgate. It is pretty fun and entertaining though.

- Additional reviews of campus life:
- don't have recycling!!!
- Galveston is not a secure place and this makes it difficult to provide a secure campus community
- I'm not sure what anyone means by "diversity"...I know A&M is trying to promote its diverse image, but we ARE like, 90 white middle-class people. There's some clubs that offer great information into different religions and cultures. As for people, I find a lot of guys I'd like to talk to, but not so much for girls...the ones I meet are all make-up and gossip, but I AM sort of a tomboy. Because of the Federal Clery Crime Act, the university must notify every student of any crime on campus. No one's been killed or raped since I've been here, but we have had two robberies. One was in an apartment and one she got away because she punched her assaulter in the balls. What a badass. Many people go out to parties Thursday, Friday, Saturday and get drunk. There's a hooka bar somewhere, I think. Some people smoke marijuana too, but that's usually as intense as it gets. You'd be hard-pressed to find connections to someone with ecstasy. But then again, you're going to college to learn, not to roll...right?
- The campus is huge and parts of it are really nice to sit out and study on a gorgeous day.
