- Excellent in all areas.
- I have a BS in Anthropology.
- I took two semesters away from my home campus. The second semester I was to continue study abroad, but instead I decided to take 5 online courses; two of them from PSU. PSU as a school is very well organized, with many helpful resources for their students, and an overall healthy atmosphere...
- Haven't had enough genuine interaction with the program to fully judge it, so tentative B.
- GOOD
- They Push Their Views too hard.
- Overall it's a good school.
- I\'m not completely against the university studies program but im not all for it either.
- Some of the greatest professors I have met by far.
- This is the only university I have attended, so I cannot fairly compare it to others. However, I have heard some teachers claim that PSU\'s grades are inflated, essentially saying that it is easier to get higher grades. I find this to be specific to the teacher, but most of them care about their students and path to knowledge.

- diverse and hard-working

- Additional reviews of faculty:
- As at any school, there is a mix and variety of teachers. Some are more helpful than others, while others are more approachable, or just plain better at teaching. However, I have found the professors at PSU, as a whole, to be very knowledgable about their particular fields.
- Very helpful.
- The faculty (especially in the Geology and Anthropology departments were very approachable and always helpful.
- Coming from a commuter school, I was really surprised by the extra mile PSU faculty go. If one section of classes is full, then they would open another section for students. All the resources are simply available and at student disposal. This is all made possible by staff, faculty and administration who are truly dedicated to the well being and educational advancement of students...
- Good, especially the Japanese teachers, quite good.
- OK
- In my department, all of my professors have been awesome.
- i have mixed feelings on this one. have had the best of both worlds when it comes to friendly and unfriendly helpful and unhelpful people around campus.
- They really are there to help you and want to see you succeed.
- I don\'t find the staff to be overwhelmingly helpful, until I reach the people higher up in the administration, who are extremely competent and intelligent people.
- Local Atmosphere: A-
- Nightlife: B+
- Weather: C+
- Off-Campus Dining: B+
- Off-campus Housing: C+
- Additional reviews of town:
- I do not like the atmosphere of the area of town the school is located in. Around the edges of the school, there can be some questionable individuals, and I do not feel as safe as I would like walking to classes, particularly since I have to cross many streets to get to them.
- Weather is very unpredictable. Great restaurants.
- NOT GOOD
- Keep Portland Wierd!
- If you're not a fan of drinking, Portland isn't for you.
- i love portland. its rainy but thats nothing i didnt expect
- It\'s nice to have a city feel type of school but also a school that\'s within nature.
- Living in the dorms is a great way to get involved in the university and to meet people who are closer to your level of schooling. If it wasn\'t for my dorms, I wouldn\'t have close friends in the university, as it has such a large student population.
- Diversity: A
- Guys: B
- Girls: B
- Athletics: C+
- Safety & Security: B
- Greek Life: C-
- Campus Strictness: C
- Campus Maintenance: B-
- Additional reviews of campus life:
- Too much cigarette smoke and cigarette butts, with some litter around buildings. Also, because the school is located in downtown Portland, with streets running through the campus, it does not feel as cohesive nor as much like an actual campus as any of the other colleges I have gone to.
- Nice campus. Very diverse population of students. Very safe area.
- I wasn't sure what was meant by "drug scene" I said B because I didn't notice much interest in the drug scene while was there, but I didn't pay much attention to that type of activity.
- NOT BAD
- Open campus makes safety/maitnence hard.
- It's all eh, so to speak.
- It\'s a secure campus, and a campus full of life with so many diversities around you.
- If you want to party, you will eventually find people with similar interests. If you want to be part of greek life, that is possible too. However, the general \"fun\" aspects of the university are either hosted through the university (drug-free), or whatever you plan with your close friends. Most people do not live right on campus, so there is not much of a nightlife.
