- Additional reviews of academics:
- Most of the professors are competent and they have a decent program.
- The professors kind of are horrible during freshman year due to class sizes.
- I'm told it's a good school. I wouldn't particularly know, because I've lived 20 minutes away from campus my whole life. Because I was a transfer student, my plan of study was particularly twisted, so even though I qualify credit-wise as a senior, I won't graduate until Spring 2009 (or summer, depending on my planned study abroad). My adviser has been extremely helpful (Comparative Literature), as have a few select others in my secondary major (Japanese). Most professors within my major (ie, who teach primarily in CMLIT/JAPNS, not classics or something else) seem very competent.
- Some profs are great, some good, and some eh.
- Loved loved loved PSU

- Additional reviews of students:
- Mostly, affable, kind, and fun, but, of course, thee are all kinds of people to be found.
- It's a mixbag.
- It's big. I don't know any more than that. I'm shy, and Japanese class is really the only place where I've managed to have some kind of camaraderie.
- Pretty chill.
- Not highly diverse but all sudents are open-minded
- very nice group of people.. not quite culturally diverse but working on it
- GREAT
- very nice people
- Not diverse enough
- it is diverse and big.

- Additional reviews of faculty:
- They are generally kind and helpful.
- It's a grabbag
- Changes from department to department. I do wish CMLIT wouldn't outsource to Classics though. It seems like if the departments are in the same building, they get along pretty well, like English, CMLIT, Japanese, and French & Francophone Studies. Philosophy, Linguistics and Classics don't mesh nearly as well. As for helpfulness, again, it depends on the teacher and the department. Liberal Arts classes I've had haven't been taught by a TA, and the professors were approachable.
- Mostly god, but it depends on the person and/or the day.
- Knowledgeable about subject, but students must make the extra effort if they need help. Most classes are forum sized and professors cannot take class time to help individual students.
- not a very difficult program but definitely very enlightening and educating
- They do not care about the student.
- GREAT
- Decent.
- Intimidating
- Overall professors across campus are very helpful. Within the department, professors may be on a power trip... not all but some.

- Additional reviews of town:
- Housing is relativelt cheap and there's, usually, something to do.
- The weather is cold.
- I'd prefer not to comment on the town, due to the fact I've lived around here almost 23 years.
- Good, if a bit rowdy.
- It is a typical college town, so the nightlife slows down a bit in the summer, but there is always plenty to do during the school year.
- it was a great atmosphere. especially during football season
- Tons of snow.

- Additional reviews of campus life:
- Again, I try my best to stay out of campus life as a whole. I've gone on a trip to New York with the Japanese Culture Society (a club) and attended a meeting, but that's about it. The HUB (student union building) seems to be where a lot of people hang out, with lots of tables, some cushy chairs upstairs, 2 coffee stands and a food court. I've gone a couple times with my friends in Japanese class there for lunch, and over 20 people are part of that group, and they go almost every day.
- The school has an amazing maintenance crew and with 62 fraternities and a few less soroties the greek life is extremely active. But, there are also plenty of clubs and things to occupy your time with even if you don't decide to participate in greek life.
- always clean, there was tons of security and I always felt safe. The campus was a little strict and the off campus police were just ridiculously strict
- Party school through and through.
