Mount Ida College is a 4 year, co-educational, baccalaureate, independent college situated at 72 acre suburban campus in Newton, Massachusetts. Bachelor degrees are offered in five schools, animal science, arts and science, business, design, and the New England Institute of Funeral Service Education. Mount Ida College curriculum concentrates on professional preparation with a strong liberal arts base. Its all-college curriculum offers a unique combination of courses, skills, and concepts that provide a strong base for career or graduate study. The 1300 student college is located 8 miles from downtown Boston. In addition to 30 majors and minors, the college is a member of NCAA Division III and competes in the North Atlantic Conference in men’s basketball, lacrosse, soccer, football, volleyball and club baseball and women’s basketball, cross country, equestrian, soccer, softball, and volleyball.
