- Additional reviews of academics:
- gets stressful at times, but I love it here.
- A great selection of courses, although required courses for your degree aren't always offered, which can make registration somewhat tricky.
- Good school
- I have taken over 50 credit hours by this point and many higher level classes, yet I still have not learned one single fact that I wasn't already aware of when I was in 10th grade.
- Despite the usual problems with grade inflation and professors who should have retired a few years ago (no passion left), I felt the program was helpful in preparing me for graduate school.

- Additional reviews of students:
- Everyone would have fun here, especially if you stay on campus at the commons. You have to have an open mind and not be afraid to say "hi" and meet new people.
- Georgia State is deffinitely a commuter school. Perfect for those just seeking a degree like myself. Although, more clubs are starting for those who really want to meet people.
- Student body is extermly diverse. People are outgoing and very friendly
- Not very approachable, however some people are; and very clique-ish
- Very will diverse
- People are very full of themselves, not motivated, have strong opinions that they cannot explain their reasoning for when asked, and then they become angry or aggressive because of it.
- Very friendly, and like to give information
- They are there to help you when you ever have any trouble.
- GSU is an urban campus, so the students were mostly commuters (like me) with little time for or interest in "campus life."
- 67% said faculty members are Friendly.
- 82% said faculty members are Helpful.
- 6% said faculty members are Arrogant.
- 9% said faculty members are Condescending.
- 12% said faculty members are Self-Absorbed.
- 6% said faculty members are Unhelpful.
- Additional reviews of faculty:
- i LOVE my teachers so much, that I am taking 2 of the same ones that I took last semester.
- All professors are required to have office hours, and a lot of departments have offices in the classroom buildings, so they are easily accessible. Proffessors treat you more like peers than students, which really helps in prepping for "the real world."
- overall very helpful and friendly
- Nice
- I had a teacher in an upper level class actually say "Now I know many of you have never written an essay before....". We had to write one to get into the school....faculty are arrogant, unwilling to help in any way, uninformed, easily annoyed if you don't agree, and generally give you little bits of busy work and the basis of whether you fail or not is solely based on whether or not you agreed with them all semester, not on the merit of your work.
- They are very helpful
- The faculty divided itself into very friendly and helpful or very arrogant, condescending, and self-absorbed. I met both kinds.

- Additional reviews of town:
- Commons...is the way to go!
- Atlanta is awesome! Although, weather in the South is quite unpredictable these days.
- The city of Atlanta is such a diverse and pleasant city. The downtown area is promising and will be under many urban renewal projects in the coming year.
- The campus is in the ghetto....I'm talking hundreds of homeless people, some obviously mentally challenged roaming around touching people, making sexual comments, asking for money, etc. There are also religious zealots who preach that women in school are going to burn in the fires of hell which just adds to the ambiance. The housing on campus is so awful I payed $1000 to get out of the contract after one semester. HOWEVER....ten minutes drive away is East Atlanta Village and Old 4th Ward which is amazing for off-campus living. Overall through, the school is dilapidated, poorly built, and dangerous.
- Atlanta is my home town, so I would like it whether I went to school here or not.

- Greek Life: B-

- Additional reviews of campus life:
- College is what you make it! And im making to fun!
- I feel very safe on campus, especially since surrounding parts of Atlanta can be a little uncomfortable. There's people of sooooo many different backgrounds!
- We have one classroom building that is a converted parking garage....imagine that. Our greek life is in rooms on the third floor of the student center. Our athletics are awful....no one goes to the games for basketball and we dont have facilities for anything else. SO many people are cracked out on drugs its amazing. Guys are either sexy gay hipsters, ghetto misogynists, or dirty hippies on drugs. Literally. The campus is over half African American, about 20 Asian, and the rest are the dirty hippies. Campus strictness is ridiculous, I'm just saying....they put a hold on your registration for ANYTHING and sometimes nothing. I got dropped from two of my 6 classes last spring '08 b/c my name was the same as another girl's who was failing and they put me on academic warning by mistake. It took them two and a half MONTHS to fix it and by then I had missed so much class I couldn't go back in.
- I work full time in addition to taking classes, so I didn't know or care much about "campus life" at GSU.
