- Additional reviews of academics:
- Overall the academics are wonderful and 98 of the professors are great.
- Some professors are really good and some just aren't. A couple of them seem to try to be good but really aren't. TAs and TFs are worse than the actual teachers and grade very subjectively.
- The professors like to try to get you to support their political or life view and are not always in favor of free thinking.
- Attend grad college online, students very fair and open-minded, very respectful.
- Engineering professors do not always understand that their students must first learn the concepts that they teach. However, the English teachers are superb, and maintain alliances with Havard University.
- Amazing professors and highly organized - love it!

- Additional reviews of students:
- there are ten's of thousands of students in BU divided into about 13 or so different programs, depending on the school you are in usually depends on the attitude of the people. there are all types here so all these apply
- Online environment; very professional.
- A lot are really snobby or act it.
- Very nice.
- Very diverse
- Extremely open-minded, which is valuable to the freshman class, as there are no barriers between age groups.
- Nice; this is an online environment, so not a great deal of student contact.
- Some of the kids are a little stuck on themselves- this is considered a 'rich' school overall. However, every student on my floor is incredibly kind and helpful. You can't beat the diversity, either!
- good
- Diverse
- Largely rich population, look down on you.
- awesome

- 8% said faculty members are Self-Absorbed.
- 11% said faculty members are Unhelpful.
- Additional reviews of faculty:
- Faculty are open to help and almost all are wonderful and friendly. Only few and far between will you find a self-absorbed arrogant professor. In the four years I have been here I can count on less than one hand the teachers I did not like.
- They know their stuff! They all have their Ph.D.'s.
- Most are good but some aren't. The TAs and TFs are bad.
- The professors can be really good or really bad. Most like to try to force their political views on the student.
- Very helpful, many faculty members available. Online education is a different learning medium, and Boston University is very sensitive to this learning culture.
- Friendly but often live in their own world
- The faculty in the College of Arts and Sciences is experienced and prompt in returning emails. If there is any problem with a professor, then the students voice their concerns in an end-of-the-year survey, and the teacher may be fired.
- Awesome.
- good
- Driven to help their students.
- EXCELLENT
- awesome
- Local Atmosphere: B+
- Nightlife: B+
- Weather: C
- Off-Campus Dining: A-
- Off-campus Housing: B
- Additional reviews of town:
- It's Boston the food is great but you cant find decent Chinese anywhere, but you're talking to a New Yorker, I have high standards in that department. You can find nice and affordable living off- campus you just have to look and lots that are relatively close to the school.
- Unfortunately I do not reside there but I understand it is beautiful! Can't wait for graduation, will be great to see the town.
- Online student.
- Off-campus housing is ridiculously priced, and the weather is always raining or snowing in winter. Even in the summer there are many rainy days. However, the number of clubs and expensive/cheap places to eat are phenonmenal and make the experience worthwhile.
- Online environment, have never been to Boston.
- Great off campus food.
- awesome
- Diversity: A-
- Guys: B-
- Girls: B
- Athletics: B
- Safety & Security: B+
- Greek Life: B-
- Campus Strictness: B-
- Campus Maintenance: B
- Additional reviews of campus life:
- I'd give diversity a B- to a C+ but it is not an option. The female to male ratio is 60:40 the straight male to gay male is about 50:50 as well so you do the math...
- Again, online environment. With my field of study, the proportion of males to females is about 2:1. (Social sciences/criminal justice).
- Some of the maintainence takes for ever. Also some of the security is behind and not inforced. Athletics would be better both if the teams were better or is BU had a football team.
- Online student
- Very strict about any drug or alcohol usage or even a lot of noise! More girls than guys
- Drugs are easily avoidable, the school is international, the number of gay men equal the straight men, and the campus is beautiful (when not under-construction).
- Online environment
- The BU Campus provides the best of both worlds - an urban feel and a campusy feel, as BU is located along the Charles River in its own 2-mile section of the city.
- Some old facilities.
- awesome
- Campus Dining: B
- Campus Housing: B-
- Computers: B+
- Facilities: B+
- Parking: C
- Transportation: B+
