Birmingham-Southern professor named AL Professor of the Year (FOX 6 News Birmingham)

BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) – A Birmingham-Southern College professor has received a very prestigious accolade. Dr. Duane H. Pontius, a physics professor, was named the 2009 Alabama Professor of the Year by the Carnegie Foundation on Thursday.

Former federal prosecutor Michel Nicrosi, a Montgomery native who resides in Daphne, officially entered the race for attorney general this week, saying the position needs a prosecutor and not a politician.
